With the club open next Sunday there is one issue that needs dealing with.
It appears that guys are saying we've dropped the dress code in the basement. Over the years we've had to endure a lot of malicious gossip which has done us a lot of harm, so we don't want to get into a situation where we give the gossipers the fuel to feed their flames. The problem being, if that sort of rumour isn't dealt with quickly, the guys with gear will stay away rather than support us and we will be forced into dropping the dress code in order to survive. We didn't go through 5 years of low attendances just to drop the dress code now we're beginning to get very busy. If you see anyone in the basement wearing casual jeans could you please report it to us so we can deal with it on the spot.
Because we've been short staffed, we haven't concentrated on the basement and trusted everyone to keep within the rules, it's seems a very small minority of guys are breeching those rules As the vast majority of our visitors do make the effort to keep to the rules, we don't want a few spoiling things. We do take this gossip very seriously because we know the damage that it can do and will be making an effort to keep guys out of the basement unless they can make conform to the rules, and anyone who attempts to break the rules could face a possible full time ban.
Please note that we try to have as few rules as possible, but we do need some rules in order to make the club enjoyable for as many visitors as possible Most of you will already be aware of the rules, but for the ones who aren't, here they are again
Camera's. Only our camera's and permitted members of specialist press can be used in the club to protect the privacy of our visitors. If you want your pictures taken in the club, you only need to ask one of us to do it for you.
Mobile Phones. The club isn't a suitable location for having a telephone conversation and it doesn't made you look a credible player if you're sat sending text messages with so much in going on around you.
Jeans are only permitted in the basement if they are part of complete construction workers gear, complete skinhead gear or worn under chaps.
Footwear. Black boots are the desired if you're planning to visit the basement, but shoes (preferably black) are permitted. Trainers are not allowed in the basement.
Any attire is permitted on the ground floor and first floor.
