This newsletter is earlier than usual because there is something which I consider to be very important to say, and I wanted to get the news out before the fishmongers wives and rumour mongers get the opportunity to get their tongues around it. It's also a major appeal for help.
So let me first tell you, despite what you hear, there is NO intention to close Deviant and HARD. Though those rumours have surfaced yet again.
After all the years of hard work, I am tired and frustrated. So really don't want to have to go around attempting to quash yet another spiteful rumour.
It was around 9 years ago that I came up with the idea of starting a club like Deviant, in Bristol. Many people wrote it off even before it begun, and lets be totally honest, it is debatable about if they are right or not.
However, I see things much differently than other people, and my idea of being a success is the fantastic people I have had the pleasure of meeting, and many memories. Since the beginning there has been a lot of stories to tell. Some bloody excellent memories. Due to my involvement with Deviant and HARD, I have had the opportunity to meet lots of fantastic people from around this country as well as the rest of the world, including, America, Australia and several European countries.
Despite being a small city, Bristol, now has a good reputation with the fetish scene, and I would like to think Deviant has played an active part in that. Another reason why I want to see Deviant and HARD around for a very long time yet.
Now, I am at another milestone in my life but without the stamina to carry on. The last Deviant and HARD was an excellent party, and it made all the work worthwhile. Unfortunately, that hasn't always been true, especially over the last couple of years.
The crux of the matter. 9 years has taken it's toll and I am tired. But most of all, I am stale. The frustrating thing about it is that I have idea's and opportunities to push boundaries further, but lack the time, stamina, resources and finance to carry them through. In order to move forward I am going to require someone's help in many different ways.
Just some ways that you can help:
First Slap and Sleaze which is on this coming Wednesday. While we were getting a few people in on during August. That appeared to dry up in September. Guys asked for an exclusive spanking club, those who have attended have promised to return. The venue needs the extra guys to come along and buy drinks. Cute Arse has worked for weeks with very little or no pay. We have moved the opening/closing times back an hour now, and the dark room will be open, but if that doesn't work then I will give up, and I would very much doubt that Cute Arse will want to carry on alone, especially with no incentive, and his travel cost are more than he is taking.
Second, if at all possible, please come along to Deviant and HARD as often as possible to offer your support.
Third, if you are able to help with any form of publicity, for Deviant and HARD that is always appreciated. - Mention on your profile's or whatever.
Forth, if you are available to offer genuine help at all, then there is a need for guys to help with club work as well as photography and video's on the other sites.
Fifth, if you are an Accountant/Solicitor with knowledge of setting up a limited company who would be prepared to help us get started with a view to getting the business in the future.
Sixth. If you have some spare cash that you would like to invest. Large or small sums will be appreciated.
Seven. Take an interest in our forum It is still early days so it's new but room for almost anything to be discussed, and I will be prepared to put up any topical board. if you need it, just ask.
Over the years, there have been several guys offering help. Some have been fantastic guys who have been greatly appreciated. The intentions of others have not been so honourable. It's those people who have made me sceptical whenever someone offers the hand of friendship. So I will be doing my utmost to work with anyone, but it may be a little difficult to trust, to start off with.
Back on track
Sunday 1st November.
There appears to be a greater interest in this party, and don't forget to check out the website for Deviant's challenge. Several guys have promised to arrive early just so they can be the first to set a longer time than the 5 minutes we ask for. The last time so many guys showed so much interest early on, we were seeing around 150 visitors on the night. So here is hoping.
The Slave Auction.
Sunday 6th December. While there has been a mass of applicants wanting to register from the site. Few have been genuine. For that reason, I've added a few other questions to the form, in the hope of getting genuine replies. Some of the claims have been genuine and I believe some have actually sent their registration payments to the THT. Plus puppy Eegrr, who is also going to be the auctioneer for the night, will be putting himself forward as a slave too. Like all the other slaves, he's worth far more than the £20 he managed to fetch last year, so I sincerely hope there will be some genuine bidders with plenty of cash to make things much better this year.

Deviant's 9th Birthday
Will be celebrated slightly early on Sunday 3rd January, 2010 so we're currently looking for idea's to make it a memorable night.
